The "Bald Bit" anatomical manicure is a professional in-person course for nail technicians looking to move from standard and combination techniques to an anatomically correct and predictable approach to working with the periungual skin. The course is based on film anatomy and a precise set of protocols for the technician.
The work is performed using anatomical tools whose shapes mirror the biological structure of the periungual skin: an anatomical pusher and a "Bald" bit with a flat bottom. This approach prevents the twisting and shredding of film structures, does not traumatize the skin, and does not trigger aggressive regeneration.
As a result, the nail fold is shaped to be rounded and stable, hangnails and fraying disappear, and the area near the skin looks clean and tidy. The technician achieves a stable and predictable result from one procedure to the next.
Course program:
Day 1 — Anatomical manicure
— Safe machine technique without ball bits, flame bits, or cutting tools
— Working with the anatomical pusher
— Working with the flat-bottomed "Bald" bit
— Separation of the eponychium, cuticle, and pterygium
— Shaping the design fold along the papillary lines
Day 2 — Deep application
— ANDER-to-the-edge application technique
— Forming the BLACKband
— Clean work in the area near the skin without flooding
After the course, the technician reduces the number of errors, stops struggling with the skin, and achieves stable coating wear for up to 4–6 weeks without sticking or flooding.
The course is suitable for technicians who want to move to systematic, professional work with predictable results.
